Intermission

Matthew Hofmann of Hofmann Architecture decided to do what I suspect many of us dream about, and that is downsize, downsize, downsize. Reminds me of instructions to Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, tapping her heals three times and chanting, "There's no place like home." And about as likely, but for those with nerve to spare, what a feeling of freedom this would be. After locating a Vintage Airstream on Craigslist, Matthew renovated it to call his very home own. The Chair that Thinks It's a Table

Chair as sculpture and side table. The design of this chair had to have table in mind.

Sunbrella Fabric on Wingbacks

The good news is that these chairs are going to hold up to sun damage, sticky hands and wet dog noses. The bad news is that the designer was not impressed with the stripes of the Sunbrella stock fabric, so she cut her own stripes out of the black and white fabric and pieced it together. I think it was worth the effort.

One of my favorite pleasures is going from a warm bath to a cold shower or vice versa. This is absolutely a genius bathroom remodel that allows all the wet area functions to be contained behind glass doors.
